# About Mila Flooring Source: https://milaflooring.com/about Last updated: 30 September 2026 Mila Flooring supplies and fits laminate, engineered wood, solid wood, herringbone and vinyl floors, and builds made-to-measure carpentry, for homes and businesses in Carlow, Kilkenny, Laois, Kildare, Wexford and Dublin. ## What Mila Flooring does ### Herringbone & Parquet Flooring Herringbone and parquet are Mila Flooring's specialism and the pattern most requested by clients. Installation requires careful layout planning from the room's centre line and a fully level subfloor. ### Engineered Wood Flooring Engineered wood flooring has a real hardwood top layer bonded to a stable plywood or softwood core. Mila Flooring supplies and fits it across Carlow and Leinster with full subfloor preparation, and most boards are suitable over underfloor heating. ### Solid Wood Flooring Mila Flooring supplies and installs solid wood flooring across Carlow and the wider Leinster region. Every job includes full subfloor preparation and skirting or beading reinstatement, and is quoted free of charge before any work begins. ### Laminate Flooring Laminate flooring from Mila Flooring is typically the most affordable option per square metre. Water-resistant ranges are available for kitchens, hallways and utility rooms. ### Vinyl, LVT & SPC Flooring LVT and SPC are fully waterproof, making them the best choice for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms. SPC has a rigid stone-polymer core that resists dents and temperature movement, and most click-lock systems can be laid over an existing level floor without glue. ### Floor Sanding & Restoration Mila Flooring uses dust-extraction sanding equipment, so restoration work creates very little airborne dust and most homes stay liveable during the job. Each room is sanded, filled and finished in stages, with proper drying time between coats. ### Carpentry & Fitted Storage All Mila Flooring carpentry is fully bespoke and built to the room's actual measurements, never flat-pack. Common projects include fitted wardrobes, alcove cabinetry, media walls, under-stair storage and home-office joinery, finished painted, stained or varnished to match existing interiors. ### Staircase Renovation A staircase renovation from Mila Flooring usually means cladding the existing structure with new hardwood or laminate treads and risers, colour matched to the surrounding floor. Anti-slip treatments are available. ## Why work with Mila Flooring ### Fully insured, 15+ years Over fifteen years in the trade, fully insured, and rated 4.95 out of 5 by customers on Facebook. ### Free, clear quotes No-obligation quotes tailored to your project, so you know exactly what to expect with no hidden fees. ### Precision as standard Proper subfloor preparation, accurate layout planning and tight joins.
